We Have Updated Our Client Intake & Scheduling Process
Honest Paralegal Services is growing, and we have updated our process for new and returning clients.
New and Returning Clients
Starting now, all new requests begin with a short online intake before we schedule a consultation. This change helps HPS better understand how we can help, identify deadlines or urgent concerns early, review relevant information before the consultation, and ensure each person receives the appropriate next step.
You do not need to know legal terms or choose a service category before starting. Simply complete the intake, tell us what is happening, and identify any documents, notices, court dates, hearings, response deadlines, filing deadlines, or other time-sensitive concerns.
After we receive your intake, HPS will review it and, when appropriate, send next-step information to schedule a $50 HPS Detailed Consultation & Service Review.
Current Client Follow-Ups
If you are a current Honest Paralegal Services client with an active HPS matter or service agreement, you may schedule a follow-up appointment by phone or in person.
Use a follow-up appointment to:
Provide an update or new information about your active HPS matter
Review documents or information already requested by HPS
Discuss a document-preparation step already within your current HPS service agreement
Address a question about the next agreed administrative or document-support step
Schedule an in-person meeting or phone follow-up
Please do not use this booking option for a new matter, a closed matter, legal advice, legal representation, an emergency, or a request outside your current HPS service agreement.
If your request is new, your prior HPS matter is complete or closed, or you are unsure whether you are an active client, please begin with the New or Returning Client Intake above.
Important: HPS provides non-legal document support, administrative, educational, and neutral process-support services. HPS is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice or legal representation. Completing an intake does not create a client relationship, attorney-client relationship, or service agreement.
What Happens After Your Intake
A simple, organized next-step process.
After you submit the New or Returning Client Intake, HPS follows a structured process to prepare for your consultation and determine the appropriate next step.
-
After you submit the online intake, HPS reviews the information you provided, including your general request, the people or organizations involved, documents or notices you upload, and any court date, hearing, deadline, or other time-sensitive concern you identify.
The intake helps HPS prepare for the consultation. It is not legal advice, legal representation, or an agreement for services.
-
If the information you provide is appropriate for an HPS Detailed Consultation & Service Review, HPS will email or text you a scheduling link.
You can choose an available consultation time that works for you. If you identify an urgent deadline, safety concern, existing attorney involvement, or another issue that requires review first, HPS may contact you before sending scheduling information.
-
During the consultation, you will meet directly with HPS by phone, in person, or another confirmed meeting format.
Together, we will review:
What you would like help with
Important background facts and the documents available
Any dates, notices, deadlines, or next steps you have identified
The type of document, administrative, educational, or neutral process-support assistance you are seeking
Whether the requested work can be provided within HPS’s nonlegal service scope
What additional information or documents may be needed
You do not need to arrive with every document or answer. The purpose of the consultation is to understand the request, identify what is available, and create a clear next-step plan.
-
After the consultation, HPS will let you know the appropriate next step.
HPS service is appropriate. HPS may offer defined nonlegal document support, administrative support, educational support, or neutral process support. You will receive the applicable service agreement, pricing information, and a checklist of needed documents or information.
More information is needed. HPS may ask you to provide documents, clarification, or information before determining whether a service can be offered.
An attorney or another resource may be appropriate. If your request requires legal advice, legal representation, advocacy, or another service outside HPS’s role, HPS may provide nonexclusive independent-attorney information or other appropriate resource information. You remain free to choose any attorney or service provider.
The request cannot be accepted. HPS may be unable to accept a request because of timing, conflict, scope, availability, safety concerns, or another practical reason. When appropriate, HPS may provide general resource information.
-
If HPS can offer an appropriate service, you will receive:
A written HPS service agreement explaining the exact nonlegal service to be provided
Information about fees, payment, timing, and client responsibilities
A tailored checklist of documents or information needed
A secure method to provide additional information or upload documents, when applicable
Instructions for scheduling follow-up appointments by phone or in person
HPS begins the requested work only after the scope of service, client responsibilities, and payment arrangements are confirmed.
