NYS Sheriffs’ Association Blue Envelope Program
The Blue Envelope Program is a free public-service program administered by the New York State Sheriffs’ Association.
It helps law-enforcement officers recognize and adapt their approach when interacting with a driver with autism, while giving the driver a practical way to prepare for the encounter.
A participant may keep essential identification and vehicle documents in the blue envelope, such as a driver’s license, vehicle registration, and contact information. Place the envelope in an accessible, visible location in the vehicle.

NYS Sheriffs’ Association Blue Envelope Program
The Yellow Dot Program is a free program that helps first responders locate vital medical information during the critical “golden hour” after a vehicle crash or other emergency.
A Yellow Dot is displayed in the rear driver-side window of a vehicle. It alerts first responders that the vehicle’s glove compartment contains a completed medical-information form.
